Fruit of Pomegranite tree (Punica granatum)

An ubiquitous wild shrub/tree in the Algarve, often planted as a dense, prickly hedge. The thousands of tiny red seeds within each fruit make a delicious drink when liquified in a blender and combined with freshly-squeezed orange juice.
