This year's show was the best in spite of the oppressive heat, humidity, and sunstroke. Lots more equipment this time and no B29 but they made up for that by having a Tiger tank which was deafening when they fired that big 88! There were more armored cars, flak and anti-tank guns, and a nebelwerfer (rocket launcher).
Several vets were on hand including a survivor of the Indianapolis http://www.ussindianapolis.org/ an ME262 pilot and the P51 Mustang pilot who shot him down (both sitting next to each other's tables), and some rangers from Point du Hoc.
The line to talk to R. Lee Ermey (the Maggot-Master from Mail Call on the History Channel) was too long to wait in but I got some pix of him with his beloved watermelon. See his site at http://www.rleeermey.com/introindex.php
