The third Nuit Blanche (which means sleepless night), the annual contemporary arts event, is being held in Paris on the night of Saturday 2 to Sunday 3 October between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Nuit Blanche is an opportunity for the public to discover both exceptional artistic projects, designed to suit the scale of the city, and unusual or symbolic places seen in a new context: the night.

The Nuit Blanche concept has been adopted by several cities abroad, such as Rome (18 September 2004), Brussels (2 October 2004) and Montreal (26 February 2005), and this year by a number of towns bordering Paris (Les Lilas, Joinville le Pont, Clichy and Versailles).
