Kirkintilloch is the town where my Great Great Great Grandmother grew up. I took the train from Glasgow to Lenzie (about 10 minutes) and walked to "Kirky" (about 2 miles) on 1 September. I found a written record of the birth of Jean Stirling, my Great Great Great Grandmother, on microfilm at the Library.
