I learned today, 24th May 2010, that this factory is to be redeveloped. The larger portion will be demolished though the oldest two sections of building, which are listed,will be preserved and converted into apartments. It is such a wonderful old place I hope that the conversion is sympathetic. One very good thing is that they will restore the Mill Race.

Another visit on 2nd June 2011 and nothing has changed except the the "Notice of Redevelopment" on the gate, oh and the fence has been broken down in one corner, making it easier for me to get in! The roof in a couple of places is very dangerous as two huge beams have rotted and given way. Much as I love the place as a photo location I feel that something must be done with it or very soon it will be a case of total demolition.

2015. Visits now need steel toe capped boots and a hard hat to go anywhere near. Such a shame that many lovely features are disappearing fast.
