Scarves

I'm not sure what I stumbled upon here. A country lane not quite miles from anywhere but a fair distance from a house or farm.

And there they are, two scarves tied to the gate - as a warning, a signal, a message?

I shall never know. how frustrating!

Maybe it's like the song, 'Tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree'? Whatever the reason, it's a neat find, and a great shot, Ann!

Maybe Christmas decorations? Or maybe someone just wanted someone else to know where they live? The gate with the two scarves? A mystery....very cool image!
