| Webster, MA - On March 18, 2022 at approximately 2AM, Webster firefighters responded to a central station alarm at the Wind Tiki Chinese Restaurant located at 154 Thompson Road. The Webster PD arrived on scene first and reported "heavy smoke coming from the building". The still alarm was quickly upgraded to a first alarm assignment, and eventually, three alarms were struck for the ensuing fire. Due to the heavy dead load located on the roof of the building and the advanced stage of the fire located in the ceiling space and ductwork, the Incident Commander wisely chose an aggressive exterior fire attack. There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Webster FD, the Webster PD, and the State Fire Marshals Office. |
