| On Sunday evening January 13th at approximately 10:30 PM, Dudley firefighters responded to a call for a well involved pickup truck in the area of 12 Wayne Avenue. Two Dudley jakes live in the same neighborhood, heard the call and responded with extinguishers from their homes to find the truck in the street in front of the residence, fire showing from the engine compartment area. The two firefighters emptied several extinguishers onto the fire while the Engine responded from headquarters, but the dry chemical was not putting a dent in the fire. When the Engine arrived, one line was quickly stretched and the fire was brought under control. There were no injuries. |
