I asked the, rather boistrous, group on the next table for a shot of them doing shots, and soon learnt that they were ex-Viet Cong soldiers enjoying their annual reunion (on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the fall of Saigon). Sapa.

Sure, I've tried it:) This photo is of my copmpanion refusing to drink any. Guess who had to have a second shot to save face?
