Visiting Leica at Solms; also few Stuttgart pictures (2007)

With my friend Arnulk Kost, from Berlin, we had the idea of visiting Leica factory. He arranged everything. We went to Wetzlar by train and a former Leica's employee (unfortunately I forgot his name), kindly showed us the Leica plant at Solms. Solms is very close to Wetzlar. We were not allowed to take photos inside the facilities. In that time, Leica was improving its economic life by manufacturing the digital Leica M8. We could see the assembling line. I had my Leica R7 and the Elmarit 28, the Summicrons 35 and 50, and the Elmarit 135mm. I took some pictures from Wetzlar (also Frankfurt, Aachen and Stuttgart) and, back home, I printed some, which were sent to the Leica's gentleman for gratitude. We keep a very good souvenir of this visit. For these pictures I scanned the negs with a Nikon Coolscan V.
