Salta is a city on the Nord-West of Argentina, close to the Andes Mountains. There is a strong influence of Incas people on their population and culture. The city itself is quite nice and interesting and there are attractions on its surroundings. During this summertime (2016) we decided to visit it and extend the trip to San Pedro de Atacama, in Chile. From our town, Florianópolis, to San Pedro de Atacama (approx. 6500 km round trip), we decided to drive, which gave us the chance of visiting the nord of Argentina as well as crossing the Andes Mountains. We were four: from our photo-friend group in Brazil, Anisio Elias Borges and Mario Bianchini Filho. From Germany, Arnulf Kost, 'le berlinois', crossed the Atlantic for it. In spite of being all over 60, the athmosphere was kind and, indeed, it was a sweet 15 days trip.
I divided the photos in 5 groups following the trip chronology: on the road (pictures on the road Florianópolis to Salta); Salta photos; crossing the Andes mountains; San Pedro de Atacama city pictures and finally, some images related to the parks around this chilean town. I used a light equipment: the Panasonic Lumix G7 with the lenses Panasonic 12-35/2.8 and 45-175/3.5-5.6.
