Tokyo; visiting the vivid Shinjuku area (2023)

On a recent trip to Japan, I went to Kyoto and Tokyo. Arnulf Kost, my "brother" from Berlin, was also present. In Tokyo, as usual, we stayed at Kadoya Hotel, near Shinjuku station, which made life easier. This neighborhood is very important for the capital since there is an intense commerce and attractions. The Shinjuku station is one of the largest in the world, with several subway and train lines. In spite of its size and the high number of users, everything seems smooth without any apparent difficulties. Walking around brings us to many restaurants, stores and attractions. The buildings are high which is, technically, impressive because of so many earthquakes. In the evening, life is intense with many animated bars and restaurants. Also, near the station there is a buddhist (I guess) shrine and we were quite lucky since there was a popular celebration with many people and different types of food. Finally, on my last day, I walked in Shinjuku-Chuo park, located near the hotel. And I included some old pictures of Shinjuku in the 1960s and 70s. Interesting to see the evolution of the neighborhood. And .... I wish to visit Japan in the near future.
