Muitos amigos sabem que, como engenheiro, sou aficcionado por mecanismos como carros, aviões, câmeras, motores, relógios, etc... Assim, foi com alegria que, ao visitar meu amigo de longa data Dieter Lederer e sua esposa Katharina, em Stuttgart, houve um convite para visitar o museu da Mercedes-Benz. Em particular, Katharina trabalha na empresa, sediada na cidade. Este museu é muito bem organizado e a visita proposta segue, cronologicamente, o percurso e a evolução da Mercedes, com explicações de áudio sobre os diferentes veículos e outros aspectos relevantes na história da empresa. A sequência das fotos segue a dinâmica dessa evolução. Coloquei algumas explicações nas legendas. Passei uma tarde muito agradável neste museu, assim como em outros - presentes no site - tendo um tema paralelo, relativo a aviões. Finalmente, há algumas fotos do Palácio de Wittenberg e do centro de Stuttgart.

Many friends know that, being an engineer, I like technical subjects such as cars, aircrafts, cameras, motors, watches, etc... I was quite happy when, visiting my longtime friend Dieter Lederer and his wife Katharina in Stuttgart, an invitation to visit the Mercedes-Benz museum was proposed. In particuçar, Katharina works in this company, whose headquarters are located in this town. This museum, in the way it is organized, shows the evolution of Mercedes with explanations by audio describing different cars and other relevant aspects of the factory history. The sequence of the pictures follows the dynamics of the visit. I included some explanation in the captions of the photos. I spent a nice afternoon in this museum, as I did in some others - included in the site - related to aircrafts. Finally, I present some pictures of the Wittenberg Palace and Stuttgart downtown.
