Em 1997 fui a uma conferência (em Eng. Elétrica) organizada em Palermo, Sicília. Após a conferência, com mais dois companheiros (também presentes no evento), Arnulf Kost (de Berlim) e Stephan Russenschuck (trabalha na Suiça) alugamos um carro por 2 ou 3 dias, e viajamos na ilha. Difícil se lembrar com exatidão os locais por onde passamos. A viagem no interior da ilha foi muito interessante pois permitiu conhecer pequenas cidades típicas que transmitiam a atmosfera mediterrânea. Me lembro de ter visitado Cefalú, cidade litorânea, Agrigento (com monumentos gregos) e, claro, Palermo. Nesta viagem levei comigo uma Canon (modelo A1, acho) com as excelentes lentes Canon FD 24/2.8, 35/2.8, 85/1.8 e a 135/3.5. A maior parte das fotos foi feita com o filme Fujichrome Sensia. Esses slides foram fotografados com uma Olympus E-M1 mk II e uma lente Olympus macro 30/3.5. As fotos foram posteriormente tratadas com o software ACDSee com ajustes de brilho, cores, contraste e cortes; como de hábito, seus conteúdos não foram alterados.

In 1997, I attended a conference (on Electrical Engineering) at Palermo, Sicily. After the event, with my friends Arnulf Kost and Stephan Russenschuck (who also attended the conference), we rented a car and travelled in the island for about 2 or 3 days. Hard to remember the name of small towns of the island. It was an interesting trip since we could feel the typical Mediterranean atmosphere. I remember we visited Cefalu (in the litoral), the historical Agrigento (with grecque monuments) and of course Palermo. In this trip, I used a Canon (A1 model, I guess) and the excellent Canon FD lenses 24/2.8, 35/2.8, 85/1.8 and the 135/3.5. The majority of photos were taken with the Sensia Fujichrome slide film. The slides were photographed with an Olympus E-M1 Mk II and the macro Olympus 30/3.5. The pictures were treated with the ACDSee software with adjustments of brightness, contrast, color and cropping; as usual, their contents were not modified.
