São Miguel das Missões - Rio Grande do Sul state (July 2011)
São Miguel das Missões is a historical site in Rio Grande do Sul. It was built in the period 1735-1745 by the jesuit order and the native Guarani indiens. It is part of seven 'missões' spread in the surroundings including the neighbor countries Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay. It is considered as a UNESCO monument. In our trip with my friends Leão, Sidney and Henrique - having the Uruguay as main destination - we chose roads crossing the Rio Grande do Sul for a short stop in São Miguel das Missões. Starting the travel in our town Florianópolis, we arrived there at dusk, as can be seen in the pictures. We left the place the next morning. For these pictures I used a Canon 60D with the Canon zoom 18-135mm.
