Using a cheap PS digital camera; from Rancho Queimado to Angelina (2022)

Digital cameras were quite expensive until approximately 2010. Even for small PS (Point and Shoot) cameras, with small sensors, it was necessary to spend a relatively high sum. This market was strongly reduced since the users (mostly amateurs) prefer their portable phones which have, now, an excellent performance with the convenience of sending, easily, their photos and videos on the net. However, the portable phones, except for the very expensive ones, do not provide a powerful zoom with good quality. Some weeks ago I bought the Panasonic Lumix ZS10 for around 30 dollars; the price of this camera, when launched in 2012, was 400 dollars. Its definition is 14 Mp condensed in a small 1/2.3" sensor. Of course, the size of the sensor does not allow good photos in low light (for such cases, flash is recommended) but in daylight the camera produces very good quality pictures. The zoom varies continually from 24mm to 384mm (35mm equivalent), which is not available on any phone yet. My only difficulty was the lack of eye level viewfinder and the LCD must be used as we do with portable phones. To test the camera, I took the non-paved road between Rancho Queimado and Angelina (14 km) passing by Rio Scharf and Rancho das Tábuas villages. There is an asphalted road as well and I drove on it for my return to Rancho Queimado; on this road (SC-281) there is a nice waterfall. To observe the technical quality of the camera, my suggestion is to click on "original", indicated below the picture and to use a large screen.
