In the same trip to Portugal (as previous folder) we went to Vilamoura, Algarve at the south coast of Portugal. After the conference we drove on the road along the coast to Lagos, where I took some few pictures. Then, we drove to Évora, a small town 130 km west of Lisbon. This place has a roman temple, from 70 BC. Also, typical old portuguese houses and buildings make Évora a nice place to visit.
From the net: "The city of Évora was the headquarters of the Roman commander Quintus Sertorius in 80-72 BC, and it long remained an important Roman military center. Later it took the name Liberalitas Julia because of privileges bestowed by Julius Caesar."
I used my Canon EOS 100 (Elan in the USA) and the lenses Canon EF 24-85/3.5-4.5 and 70-210/3.5-4.5. A 35mm F2, working wide open, was quite useful for night pictures. Kodak and Fuji color negative films were scanned with the Nikon Coolscan V (LS-50).
