Outro local interessante de Florianópolis. A Ponta do Leal se localiza na parte continental da cidade, no final da Avenida Beira-Mar Norte Continente. Durante muitos anos, nesse local privilegiado, na beira do mar, criou-se uma favela, com casas sobre a praia e/ou em palafitas. Em 2016, estivemos lá (eu e Antonio Rubilar Leão) para tirar fotos dedicadas ao nosso livro "Litoral Catarinense : Impressões". Na época, segundo os moradores, a prefeitura estava construindo edifícios em local anexo para que os moradores da favela pudessem morar em condições melhores. De fato, isso aconteceu e no local da favela ficaram somente os ranchos de canoas. Porém, alguns moradores de longa data, por manobras administrativas e/ou políticas (segundo eles próprios), não puderam obter os apartamentos e pessoas "vindas de fora" tiveram o direito de ocupar esses imóveis. Recentemente, em 2021, fui à Ponta do Leal e conversei com algumas pessoas, moradores ou pescadores que nos relataram o ocorrido. São poucos os moradores que ainda estão morando na praia. O Sr. Isaias e sua esposa, Dona Gicele, ainda se encontram lá. Gentilmente me convidaram para visitar sua casa; me contaram que estão tentando, na Justiça, ter o direito de morar nos imóveis recentes. Difícil para quem possui poucos meios para impetrar tal ação através de advogados. Na sequência das fotos inicialmente apresentamos algumas fotos de 2016 e 2017 e, logo após, fotos recentes. Finalizamos com fotos da cidade feitas a partir da Ponta do Leal. Nas fotos mais recentes, utilizei uma Canon RP com lentes manuais OM Olympus dos anos 1970-80s.

An interesting place in Florianópolis is the Ponta do Leal. It is located in the continent part of the town, at the Avenue Beira-Mar Norte, continental side. Along the years, in such a privilegiate place, by the sea, a 'favela' has been built; favela is a place where poor people make their own houses in spite of the rules. It is quite common in large towns in Brazil. In 2016, Antonio Leão and I, we went there for taking pictures for our book related to the littoral (Litoral Catarinense : Impressões). In that time, some more modern buildings were under construction; the goal was to locate the people of Ponta do Leal in relatively good apartments. In fact, it occurred and, by the beach, only 'rancho de canoas' (boat parking lots) stayed. With some exceptions. People living there for many years could not occupy the apartments and some others, coming from outside, did. Recently, I visited the place, and I was kindly invited by Senhor Isaias and his wife, Dona Gicele, to visit their house, one of the few still by the beach. I was told that they are trying, by a judicial action, to obtain an apartment. That will be certainly hard; for such an action it is necessary to hide lawyers which is too expensive for them. In the photo sequence, in the beginning, there are some pictures of 2016-2017; then the 2021 photos are presented; finally, there are some pictures of the town, taken from Ponta do Leal. For these 2021 photos I used a Canon RP with old OM-Olympus manual lenses.
