Em 1978 eu estava em Paris trabalhando na minha tese. Compartilhava minha sala com um grande amigo, René Goyet, que seguidamente me convidava para visitar diferentes locais na França. Naquele momento, ele propôs passar uns dias na belíssima região dos Pirineus, com alguns amigos que eu não conhecia ainda; mas lembro os nomes: Jean-Philippe e sua namorada Myriam, Martine e seu irmão Daniel e, chegando alguns dias depois, Jean-Michel. Fizemos várias caminhadas pelas montanhas nevadas e aproveitamos bem a casa, bastante rústica, emprestada por algum familiar deles, me parece. Já aficionado em fotografia, levei a minha Olympus OM-2n e, provavelmente, as lentes Olympus 28, 50, 100 e 200mm. O filme usado foi o Kodachrome cujas fotos, mesmo quase 50 anos após, se mantêm em boas condições. Outros filmes de slide raramente conseguem se preservar tão bem. Muitas fotos não estão boas, mas as deixo no folder pois são, para mim, boas lembranças dessa época.

In 1978 I was working on my thesis in Paris. I shared my office with a great friend, René Goyet. He often invited me to visit different locations in France. At that moment, he proposed to spend some days in the beautiful Pyrenees mountains with some friends that I didn't know at the time. However, I remember their names: Jean-Philippe and his girlfriend Myriam, Marine and her brother Daniel and, arriving some days later, Jean-Michel. We walked and climbed some snowy mountains and we enjoyed a rustic house owned by some friend's parents, I guess. Already an aficionado in photography I brought my Olympus OM-2n camera and probably the Zuiko lenses 28, 50, 100 and 200mm. I used the Kodachrome slide film whose photos are still in good shape, almost 50 years later. Other slide films rarely can preserve the pictures in such a good way. Several pictures are not good but I included them in the gallery since they are a good memory, at least to me.
