Visiting some National Parks with Arnulf Kost (1998)
In 1998 I travelled to the USA to meet Arnulf Kost, 'le berlinois' and his son, Sebastien, for visiting some American National Parks. Only for photography. I can hardly remember the exact way we chose but I can certainly say that we passed by the Grand Canyon, Brice Canyon, Dead Horse Point State Park. And it was a great trip. Photography, at that moment was analogic: I used a Canon F1 for negatives and a Canon AE-1program for slide (or vice-versa). Our problem in Florianópolis: a very humid and warm climate. Most of my film staff is getting ruined (by fungus and moisture). Then, I am, slowly, scanning my films with a Nikon CoolScan V. The pictures shown here came from this procedure and they are far from perfection. After scanning, there is a lot of work for cleaning the files. I remember using these two cameras and the 24/2.8, 35/2.8, 85/1.8, 135/3.5 Canon FD lenses.
