The the nord part of Paris (17, 18, 19 and 20ème arrodissements and surroundings) is a very vivid area. It is, of course, less touristic than, for instance, the Quartier Latin and Champs Elysées. More popular and less expensive to live, these 'arrondissements' received a large amount of immigrants from Africa (Magreb and black Africa) for several decades. Nowadays, it is still more evident than the time I arrived in Paris (1976). By its particular origin and culture, it is an interesting place to visit, often forgotten in tourist guides. In this folder some pictures of this area are shown. They were taken during my stay in Paris (1976-1984) and from some trips to Paris after that period.
