Paris 4ème arrondissement; Île Saint-Louis, Les Marais, Place des Vosges (2025)

English:
The 4ème arrondissement (neighborhood) of Paris is located in a central part of the town and it is one of the oldest, noticing that Paris was developed from its central area. On a recent trip (February 2025), we rented a small apartment in the Île Saint-Louis. This island, adjacent to the Île de la Cité, is on the origins of the town. In the 4ème there are iconic and historical places as Île Saint-Louis, part of Île de la Cité (with the Notre-Dame cathedral), Le Marais, Place des Vosges, Rue de Rivoli (partially), Rua Saint-Antoine, Hôtel-de-Ville, etc... The Seine river has an important role in the characteristics of this district with many beautiful and ancient bridges connecting the island to the mainland. The Le Marais is also an international attraction. We had a nice stay in this arrondissement which is easily connected and offers easy practical access to other parts of Paris. We were lucky with very sunny - but cold - days.
