Paris 14ème; walking on rue Didot and rue Losserand, near Georges Brassens house (2022)

English:
Georges Brassens is one of the most known and recognized French composers-singers. Personally, I would say, an observer-philosophe. He died in 1980 and I was already a great fan (I arrived in France in 1976). He composed fine songs in his late years but he didn't have enough time to interpret them. Fortunately, they were performed by his long time friend Jean Bertola. Among them, I choose "Entre la rue de Vanves et la rue Didot '' for a connection with my modest photographs. These streets ("rues") are located near the house where he lived between 1944 and 1966, at the Impasse Florimont in the 14ème arrondissement. I visited them on a gray morning of November 2022. I must admettre that they are not particularly interesting (certainly my inspiration was close to zero as well) and I concentrated the pictures on the restaurants and bars (always nice in France) . The "rue de Vanves" had its name changed: it is now called "rue Raymond Losserand'', a member of the French resistance killed in 1943, WWII. I included a link to the song (which contains the lyrics as well) sung by Jean Bertola. There are some pictures taken from a book about Georges Brassens.
