Aircrafts on Tucson (1998) and Dulles (2005) Museums

Certainly because I am engineer, I am interested on aircrafts, even though I do not consider myself as an expert on the subject. When I have the opportunity, I visit aircraft museums. In 1998, I attended an Electrical Engineering (my area) conference in Tucson, Arizona and, with my friends Nelson Sadowski and Arnulf Kost, we stopped an afternoon at the local airplane museum. It is an appropriate region for this purpose since it is very dry and virtually no rain. There are, in this state, several aircraft cemeteries and deposits for retired civil and military equipment. In this museum the airplanes are disposed without any particular care. In 2005, in the Washington DC area, I spent a full day in the museum annexed to the Dulles airport. In this case, it is a well-maintained museum where there are historic airplanes as, for instance, the Enola Gay B-29 Superfortress, related to the Hiroshima atomic bombing in 1945. There is also space flight equipment as the shuttle program. In 2005, the Enterprise shuttle was present but recently (2017) it is replaced by the Discovery shuttle, which accomplished 39 missions.
