South Korea: walking on Daejeon and Seoul (May 2017)

In May 2017, at the city of Daejeon, a conference in my working area was held. The presentations started on Monday 22nd, and, in the previous Sunday, my friend Arnulf Kost (from Berlin) and I, walked in the downtown. Daejeon is a large and industrial city, but its downtown is nice. There are stores in the main streets but, more interesting, there are underground galleries with a very large number of stores.
In my last day in Korea, I visited Seoul, as in 2004. There are beautiful traditional monuments in town but the more impressive is Gyeongbokgung Palace at the heart of Seoul. It looks very much as the Forbitten City in Beijing, China.
Seoul has strongly changed if compared to the city in 2004. I could barely recognize some main streets and avenues. Modern buildings replaced the old ones. It certainly reflects the flourishing economy of South Korea.
Worthy to be mentioned: Korean people are very nice and kind with visitors.
I used my Olympus E-M1 camera and the Zuiko lens 14-150mm.
