Em 1996 fui à Okayama (Japão) para participar de uma conferência na minha área de trabalho (Eng. Elétrica). No fim de semana, aproveitei para fotografar cidades entre Tóquio e Okayama. As mais conhecidas são Kyoto e Hiroshima, fonte da maior parte das fotografias apresentadas. Com o tempo passando (estamos agora em 2020) esqueci o nome exato de certos locais das fotos. Portanto, em algumas delas pode haver algum engano de legenda e me desculpo por possíveis erros. A observar, em Tóquio, os arredores do Palácio Imperial e duas fotos da loja Yodobashi, a maior loja do mundo com material fotográfico. Kyoto, bela cidade, é a antiga capital do Japão e local de grande religiosidade. Hiroshima se destaca – tristemente - por ter sido alvo de uma das duas bombas atômicas que levaram o Japão à rendição e ao final da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Para fotografar, usei slides Fuji Sensia e minha Olympus OM-4t e lentes Olympus. Os slides foram fotografados com uma Olympus E-M1 II com a lente macro Olympus 30/3.5. Agradeço meu amigo Silvio Nabeta (presente na última fotografia) por me fornecer nome correto de alguns monumentos e locais.

In 1996 I attended an Electrical Engineering conference held in Okayama, Japan. Taking the weekend and some days off, I visited some cities located between Tokyo and Okayama, including the well-known Kyoto and Hiroshima. It was 24 years ago and I cannot remember very well the exact name of the locations. Therefore, there are some mistakes and I apologize for it. In Tokyo I took some pictures near the Imperial Palace and inside Yodobashi, the "photographer paradise", being the largest photo store in the world. Kyoto, ancient capital of Japan is a beautiful town with a strong sense of religiosity. Hiroshima was, sadly, the target of one the atomic bombs responsible for Japan surrender and the end of WWII. For my photographs I used a Fuji Sensia slide film and my Olympus OM-4t with some Olympus lenses. The slides were pictured by my Olympus E-M1 II with the macro Olympus 30/3.5. I thank my friend Silvio Nabeta (present in the last picture) for sending me the correct names of locations and monuments.
