No período entre 1997 e 2001 (aproximadamente) fui à Berlin e Cottbus para missões de trabalho inseridas nos nossos acordos científicos com a Universidade de Cottbus. Nos fins de semana tive a oportunidade de visitar Berlin e Bamberg, respectivamente com nossos colegas e amigos Arnulf Kost e Dieter Lederer. Em Berlin, com Arnulf, visitamos uma área da antiga Berlin Oriental. É interessante notar que, após a Segunda Guerra, não havia meios de demolir imóveis e substituir por novos nesta parte de Berlin. Atualmente, isso se tornou muito interessante, pois esses belos prédios do final do século 19 e início do 20 foram recentemente renovados (entre 1990 e 2005), trazendo-nos a arquitetura da época. A ex-Berlin Oriental chama a atenção pela sua tradição e charme. Num outro passeio visitamos Bamberg, cidade relativamente próxima de Nuremberg. Nossos anfitriões foram Dieter Lederer e Claudia. Atraente pequena cidade, tipicamente germânica, é muito bem preservada pois não bombardeada na Segunda Guerra; possui uma bela catedral e fica à margem do rio Regnitz. Finalmente, nessa galeria há algumas fotos de Cottbus (ex-Alemanha Oriental), onde Arnulf Kost trabalhava como professor; sua universidade possuía um acordo com a UFSC. Fotos feitas, principalmente, com slides Fuji Sensia e agora macro fotografados com minha Olympus E-M1 Mk II e a lente Zuiko 30/3.5 macro.

In period approx. 1997-2001 I went to Berlin and Cottbus to work for our scientific agreement with the Cottbus University. In the weekends I visited Berlin and Bamberg with, respectively, our friends and colleagues Arnulf Kost and Dieter Lederer. In Berlin, with Arnulf, we visited the former Oriental Berlin. It is interesting to notice that after WW II, the renewing of this area could not be afforded. The old buildings could not be demolished and replaced by new ones. Now, it turned to be a relevant advantage, because such beautiful constructions were renewed (between 1990 and 2005) bringing us back the architecture of the 19th and 20th century. The ex-Oriental Berlin is a charming and sought-after region nowadays. Another nice trip was the Bamberg visit, which is relatively close to Nuremberg. Our hosts were Dieter Lederer and his partner Claudia. Attractive small town, typical from Germany, Bamberg is well preserved town since it was not bombed in the WW II. It is located by the Regnitz River and has a beautiful cathedral. Finally, there are some few pictures of Cottbus (ex-Oriental Germany), where Arnulf worked as professor. The pictures were taken with a slide film Fuji Sensia and they were macro-photographed with my Olympus E-M1 Mk II and the Zuiko 30/3.5 lens.
