Florianópolis, Downtown, Old Houses, Monuments (from 2014 ....)

As a typical springtime Sunday, it was a rainny and cloudy day. Excellent for photography. Comparing with workable days, on Sundays there are less people and cars on the streets, an advantage for photography. However, the stores are closed and the city seems less alive. I went to Florianópolis downtown for taking some pictures of old buildings and monuments. There is not much to say except that Florianópolis has some Azorean (portuguese) styled houses. Some are kept in a good shape. The main downtown attractions are the Cathedral, the Museum Cruz e Souza (former governor's palace), the Public Market and the old fig tree. I used my Canon 6D with only the Contax (Carl Zeiss) lenses (25/2.8, 35/2.8, 85/2.8 and 135/2.8) and adaptors.

Some new pictures were added to this folder in 2016. They were taken with my Olympus E-M1.
