Trip to Uruguay: Colonia do Sacramento, Montevideo (2011)

With my friends AR Leao, Sydney and Henrique, all photographers, we went by car to Uruguay. We started in Florianópolis and drove to Uruguay passing by the state of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and arriving on the boarder. Then, we crossed Uruguay by its middle and we got to Colonia do Sacramento. This name comes from the fact that, for a relatively short time in the XVIII Century, it became a portuguese colony rather than spanish. It can be seen by the architecture, monuments, etc.. It is a nice spot to be visited. Colonia is in front of Buenos Aires, which can be easily reached by ferry boat (about 1 hour travel). We did it and Buenos Aires is the subject of another folder. After visiting Colonia we drove to Montevideo, capital of Uruguay, where we spent some few days. And then, we travelled back to Florianopolis, crossing the boarder by another town, Chui. The pictures were taken with a Canon 60D and its kit lens 18-135mm, which gave me good results.
