In this folder I inserted photos taken in Beijing. The main subject here is the places visited as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the Great Wall.
I have a great memory of this trip. The people coming to this conference stayed at the nice 'Friendship Hotel', constructed for lodging soviet advisors, in a time when China and the USSR had a close relationship.
I arrived in the evening and in the next morming, I walked outside the hotel. I was very impressed by the huge bicycle traffic.
In a teather performance, also in Beijing, I took some pictures with a low ISO slide film, my Nikon F3 and the AIS 135/2.8 Nikkor lens. In the Forbidden City, the electronic Nikon F3 stopped working (rainny day) but I could use the mechanical (1/80) speed and the exposure was judged by classical rules (the same one could find on the film boxes). I also had my 24/2.8 and 50/1.8 Nikkors with me. The slides were scanned in a Nikon CoolScan V.
