Chapada Diamantina is a national park in the Bahia state. It is a region having mountains and hystoric towns. It is located approximately 400 km west of Salvador (the capital of Bahia and by the sea). My friends Nathan Ida (from Akron, Ohio) and Arnulf Kost (from Berlin) came for this trip. We rented a car in Salvador and drove towards the Chapada Diamantina, whose main town is Lençóis. The name 'Diamantina' comes from the diamond mines exploration in the begining of the 1900s until it becames not profitable (middle of 1950s). Beyond Lençóis, we visited Andaraí, Capão, Palmeiras and Mucugê. I also included some pictures of Salvador. The Nikon D90 was used for the majority of pictures (some few photos were taken with the Nikon F100).
