This is a great compostion. I love the intersecting diagonals(ie, the understated semi-subliminal X's in the compostion). My painting teacher taught us about "the golden section" and how composing paintings on a grid creates balance/harmony. This image has all that. Plus the darks/brights transitions/contrasts are wonderful. Again, I'd be intereted to see what else you might do with this. I like it as is, but think it would also be interesting to see this more abstract terms.
