In 1972 with the Desert Rescue Team, we used to go around to all the natural oasii? and pour petrol onto the water, which evaporated quickly after kiling the mosquito larva which caused malaria. I have been to all of them on the island. The great thing about the island is that if you walk a few hundred metres from your companions, you are overwhelmed by the absolute silence!!
