Julie, I've tried a combination scanner, and I've considered purchasing a dedicated transparency scanner. However, my current method can be seen here:

I use my Olympus C-2100 with an attached +10 magnifier, set it on macro, manual focus (once it's set, the distance does not change), aperture priority, and vary the exposure (speed) as I watch the review.

ON THE SLIDES WHAT KIND OF SCANNER DID YOU USE AND WAS IT HARD TO SCANN THEM.
