3-Point Roll Bar. The Ernst Seiler 914-6 GT is the race car that we decided to more closely follow in the implementation of the rear roll-bar attachment tube. The following are a few comparison photo links showing how the 3-point roll-bar attachment modification was completed in both of these two cars;

Two small differences of this modification are that we used a larger diameter roll-bar tubing at 1.75", rather than sourcing the metric stock. Also, the upper bolt for the short tube attachment point is in front of the rear window in my GT. The other two 914-6 GT cars the bolt is located approximately 1.5" behind the rear Plexiglas https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/133583984, not inside the cockpit. The reason we opted for the interior location for this bolt was because there was enough space between Plexiglas and the roll bar installed in my car https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/135862164 and I also wanted the option to remove the short-tube and easily change my 914-6 GT back to the more traditional and familiar look of the other factory built 914-6 GT race cars.

The Ernst Seiler 914-6 GT has the roll bar installed a bit closer to the rear Plexiglas window (see thru-bolt roll-bar attachment to the 914 pilar seatbelt stock location https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/135876894). This is possibly the reason why they chose that location for the tube upper bolt in the first place, there is no functional advantage difference using either method.
