70' Porsche 914-6, sn 914.043.1773 - 2010/Jul Asking $22,000
Here is how the owner describe the car.
The car was repainted in 2003 in the original canary yellow. It had had a
couple of resprays over the years and was very faded and had several dings
on the passenger side door. It was sanded down to the original primer
before being painted. I did a lot of the sanding and it was repainted with
the help of a friend who has several years painting experience. The engine
bay was not repainted. I had intended to use the car primarily as an
autocross vehicle and have an engine built to replace the 2.0 liter. I
planned to repaint the engine bay once the engine was out. I also did not
have the front trunk or the door jams repainted. The engine bay rust shown in the pictures is primarily surface rust. There are no holes through to the underside except the drip hole. When the car was repainted the there were three areas where rust treatment was required, a small hole in the rear trunk, the front trunk seal channel in the upper passenger side area and a small area in the sail panel panel behind the driver door. There is no rust in the pans. Mike

I'm the third owner and have had the car since 2001. It was a southern California car that moved north.
It is original and stock including the original engine and tail shifter transmission.
It has the original dash and bumper tops in very good condition.
It was stripped and repainted in 2004 in the original canary yellow (it had a couple of so so resprays over the years). The seats were recovered with a World Upholstery kit at the same time and it got a new windshield.
The last owner had it for over 20 years and it sat idle for several years before I purchased it. The odometer was not working when I bought it and I estimate I have put less than 500 miles on it since it was reawakened.
The car has new tires and replica Fuchs, according to the previous owner the original Fuchs were stolen and replaced with replicas in the early 1980s.
The previous owner had the engine rebuilt several years prior to storing it but had no documentation. It starts easily and runs well.
It needs a few small things to make it perfect.
The driver's side door seal could be replaced
As mentioned above the odometer needs repair.
It has the usual small oil leaks.
It has an aftermarket fuel pump that I put on to get it going and never replaced with a new factory unit. The original pump comes with it as a core.
It's been a fun car but its time for a new owner to enjoy. The car is located in northern California outside Sacramento in Roseville.
