Here is a 'how-to' photo sequence and what we did to fabricate the Rally Scheel seat-rail mounting brackets and any relevant notes/comments which you may find under some of the photos.

We used .087" thickness sheetmetal which translates to 2.2098 mm. Note that 'mock-ups' https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/88958616 of the actual mounting brackets https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/89075896 had to first be fabricated in order to obtain the necessary dimensions to create them. We made many adjustments https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/88743513 along the way and glad we did after seeing the final product. As I mentioned before, this installation appears simple at first but is NOT. We encountered many alignment issues with the individual lower and upper seat-rails and the GT Scheel seat which all came into play.

In case you're wondering, yes, this is by far the most expensive way to install the factory GT Scheel seat-rails in a 914 and a lot of engineering, time, tooling and money was spent on this part of the project. Check it out...
