A photo opportunity I couldn't pass up. Carl Thompson's 917-037 tube frame chassis shortly after it arrived at the shop. These photos show the pre-install of critical suspension components as those were being 'test fitted' to the tube frame.

I was able to confirm the 917K also used the same Magnesium bearing-blocks as the Porsche 910 https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/166659498 front and rear! (obviously the hollow sway-bar used by the 917 is a bit larger in diameter https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/166659493 than the smaller 910).
