Offered for sale is a very rare pair of factory original tall 906 Magnesium Intake Manifolds https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/156195198, exclusve to the Carrera 6 due to its mid-engine configuration and throtle linkage geometry, the 906 manifolds will NOT work in a rear engine 911 or even a mid-engine 914-6 GT application because the throttle linkage location is totally different on both models than a 906. These parts were removed from a race car many years ago.

Interesting to note; the 911R Magnesium Intake offsprings also use the same size 46 WEBER carburetors and 2-liter engine displacment as the Carrera 6, both Magnesium intakes have the same upper 46mm i.d. https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/156194507 (as expected), but the bottom ports of the 911R Mag intakes have a smaller 37mm i.d. https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/156194510 instead of the larger 40mm diameter of the 906 parts. By the way, I have two pairs of 906 Magnesium Intakes and both pairs share the same upper/lower port 46/40mm specifications.
