...UPDATE March/2006-This 906 case was sold.

This is a factory Porsche 906 Magnesium Engine Case that I recently located. The 906 case experienced a previous repair and it is again damaged (photo #2, cracked in one of the oil-return tube holes). The Magnesium surface appears in rough shape and badly pitted (corroded) and it would be interesting to see how well it cleans up after the media blast. Obviously, being a very early Magnesium 906 case, it is very rare and valuable and all options should be explored to try and save it from becoming a "door-stop". I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the case can be repaired properly as I really would like to buy it. Stay tuned...
