This was my first Father's Day with two kids.
Wow. Things have changed so much in the past
few years. Those two little ones are life changers
but I wouldn't trade them or fatherhood for all
the money in the world. There is nothing like
coming home to your son yelling, "Daddy's home!"
and running down the hall to jump in your arms.
And your daughter trailing behind her brother
crawling as fast as her fat little legs will
go saying "Da-da, da-da!" That stuff makes
all the midnight changings, grocery store meltdown,
diaper blowout, backtalking, timeout sending,
rear end spanking, throw up cleaning moment just
melt away. That one single moment makes you
remember why you chose to walk this path and
why it feels so good to be called a father.
