I found this cute little guy in my house. I took some pictures before I let him free outside.
Anyone know what kind of insect this is?

Yep, camel cricket. They love to congregate, sometimes in HUGE number, in crawl spaces if there is even a tiny bit of dampness.

It is a camel (AKA cave) cricket. They like damp and dark. Usually find them in garages, under crawl spaces of houses, in basements, but they will end up inside where they will eventually dry up and die. They tend to jump straight up and they have longish legs so folks often think the little guys are "jumping spiders". Their fondness of darker quarters, light and mottled coloring and quick movement usually make it hard to get a good look at them, so, Nice Shot! v
