Taiwan Aboriginal Hand-made Glass Beads

Beautiful beads from Taiwan, all hand-made, all incredibly beautiful. Called "liu li zhu" or "glass pearls", these marvelous beads are all individually hand-crafted by members of the Paiwan tribe, one of Taiwan's indigenous, aboriginal peoples. The beads are a symbol of their history and culture, and feature as an important part of their traditions.

Each lustrous bead has its own story and meaning, and the tribe works their beads into all kinds of decorative accessories, such as key rings, necklaces, bracelets, hair pins. It's no wonder that their artwork has become a sought-out favorite of Taiwan tourists, as well as residents.

I'm proud to offer those of you in the Western world the chance to own some of this amazing art work. Because each piece is hand-made, no two beads will ever be exactly alike. They are carefully crafted with pride and love, and the people of the Paiwan tribe hope you will wear their beads with pride.

The prices of the beads vary according to the difficulty in making them. Each is a piece of art that can be treasured for many years and handed down to future generations. Make Taiwan Paiwan art glass beads a part of your family's tradition!
