As a big Geoff Hamilton fan, it has been a long held ambition of mine to visit Barnsdale. Its wonderful and brings back all the memories of the make do and mend approach to gardening and the application of organic principles which have been an inspiration to so many of us.
Hellebores
Ah! yes I remember it well
The spring garden
Helen
A cherry blossom ceiling
All gardeners need to take a break
The tool store and compost bins
Who could forget the ball cock?
Or the sawn off copper cistern
A good way to use up spare drainpipes
A dream come true - relaxing at Barnsdale
Helen demonstrating a Toby cloche
Keeping the lettuce roots warm
Who remembers the rill?
I want one like this
and I want one of these too
Cherry bark
Curly Wurly box
Datura
More hellebores
Fritillaries
Hyphenated birch bark
Restful garden
The Japanese garden
The pond and bog garden
The conifer and heather garden
Birches brightening a grey day
Velvety Auricularias (with a pasque flower creeping in)
