While it cannot be definitely identified as any one particular sympetrum, I am led to believe it may be Cherry-faced due to the yellow costa, black legs, shape of the abdomen, and hamules as seen in another photo of the dragonfly obelisking. The only reason I post this is because I found him at 2500 ft. elevation on the very peak of Mount Arab in the north-central Adirondacks.
