I think that this is a Black Humming Bird but I am no expert. This fellow is interesting in that his tail feathers are vertical and not horizontal like his wings and head. He has twisted his torso on his flyby my FrangiPangi plant. Some flowers remain. The tree is native to Mexico but it is called the lei tree in Hawaii.
