I have to be honest, I have no idea what this neighborhood is called. I discovered it on my last afternoon in Lisbon when going to visit the aquarium. Expo 98 took place in this area and it is a complete contrast to the old, historic Lisboa. I highly recommend a visit to this area. It feels like a completely different city from the old center. The aquarium (second largest in the world) is world class and houses manta rays along with the normal sharks, and other creatures you are used to seeing in large aquariums. There is also a new, modern shopping center near the metro station. By the way, the metro stop is Oriente.
