This was another of my very early rafting trips. This is the "Bone Crusher" rapid on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. This river has very mild rapids (Class II-III) and is very suitable for families. Just as they do on the Snake River, they really pack their rafts full here. The Middle Fork of the Flathead runs along the southern boundary of Glacier National Park in Montana. After all these years, I still remember how cold the water from this river was. My leg was numb for quite some time from the glacier melt water in this river.
