I took a day trip from Grand Portage, Minnesota to Isle Royale National Park in Michigan. Isle Royale is the largest island in Lake Superior and the least visited National Park outside of Alaska. The only ways to visit the park are to arrive by boat (over 2 hours each way) or by sea plane. I visited by boat and only had a short 3 hours on the island.
