Central America actually doesn't start until you are south of Mexico, but I decided that Mexico fit in better with Central America than with North America. This entire region is full of things to see. It has rainforests, Mayan ruins, colonial cities, indigenous peoples, beaches, caves, whitewater rafting, active volcanos and scuba diving. All that and it is for the most part very easy on the wallet. No wonder I have been spending more time the last few years in Central and South America than anywhere else.
